In January 2017, the Center for Sociological Research “Zerkalo” began its next (fourth) monitoring of the activities of the State Unitary Enterprise “Dushanbevodokanal” (SUE “DVK”). Overall, the results of previous studies reflect progress in providing residents of Dushanbe with drinking water, the data for which can be found on the SUE “DVK” website.
It is important to note that SUE “DVK” has done significant work to improve water supply and system performance as a whole, including the installation of 76,500 water meters since 2013, which accounts for approximately 40% of the enterprise’s subscribers. Moreover, it is encouraging to see that a state institution seeks independent evaluation of its performance.
The new monitoring will cover the population of Dushanbe — 1,530 respondents and 200 organizations (both public and commercial). The study will be conducted by specialists from the Center for Sociological Research “Zerkalo,” and its results will be available on the SUE “DVK” website.
