Independent Monitoring of the Delivery and Use of Equipment in the Health and Education Sectors

‘Zerkalo’ Centre, commissioned by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan, is implementing the National Patient Satisfaction Survey on Primary Health Care (PHC) Services with the support of the World Bank as part of the “Healthy Nation of Tajikistan” investment initiative.

The main goal of the project is to assess the level of patient satisfaction with the quality and accessibility of medical services, as well as to identify key needs, expectations, and barriers patients face when receiving PHC services. The study will cover all regions of the country and will be conducted over four phases between 2025 and 2028.

The project methodology includes representative sampling, population surveys, pre-testing of tools, and the use of modern data collection and analysis methods (including digital solutions and mobile applications). Special attention is given to compliance with international research ethics standards, confidentiality, and the inclusion of vulnerable population groups.

The survey results will serve as a key instrument for the Ministry of Health in developing strategies and improving the quality of health care services, ensuring more accessible and patient-centered medical services for all citizens of Tajikistan.
