Study of patient satisfaction with primary healthcare services is an important stage in the sustainable development of the healthcare sector and the improvement of the well-being of the population of Tajikistan. It is expected that the data obtained from the surveys will help to:
- develop practical recommendations to increase the efficiency of a patient-oriented healthcare system;
- serve as a basis for decision-making aimed at improving the quality and accessibility of medical care in the country.
The field phase of the National Study on Patient Satisfaction with Primary Healthcare Services began on July 28. Over the course of 25 days, specialists will conduct a survey among 1,200 patients who have sought medical care, covering all regions of the country and the city of Dushanbe.
A two-day training for interviewers who will conduct the survey was held on July 25–26 at the office of LLC “Tahlil va Mashvarat.” During the preparation, participants familiarized themselves with the research methodology, ethical standards, and interview procedures, ensuring the quality and reliability of the collected information.
The project is implemented by the consortium of the NGO “Zerkalo” and LLC “Tahlil va Mashvarat” under the order of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan with the support of the World Bank within the framework of the investment initiative “Healthy Nation of Tajikistan.” Its main goal is to assess the level of satisfaction with the quality and accessibility of medical services, as well as to identify key needs, expectations, and barriers faced by patients when receiving primary healthcare.
